Welcome to Milkcreek Ridge Mini’s, owned by Jason & Heidi Pattison, of Mulino, Oregon. We raise quality Mini Nubian goats. Our farm started in 2004, with my first Mini Nubian doe and wither. Our goats receive lots of love and extreme care. I love the size of the Mini’s with long Nubian ears. I love their sweet personalities.
All of the goats are UTD on shots, free choice of loose minerals, Copper Bolused twice a year and tested for CAE/CL & Johns.
Our herd of Mini’s is bred from stock from, many well known herds such as; Hidden Creek, Echo Hills, Cornerstone, Daystar’s, Cedar Ridge Acres, Urban Hippie,Rainbow Meadows and Raptor Ridge, Carpenter Ranch, Green Gables, Autumn Woods. All my Mini Nubians are registered with MDGA and IDGR.
Mini Nubians were established, so you could have a Nubian in a smaller package. It is the product of breeding a Nigerian buck and a Nubian doe together, with the taste of rich creamy milk.
In height the Mini Nubian does normally stand from 22-25 inches at the withers and weigh under 100 pounds. Bucks can be larger with a height up to 27 inches and weigh under 135 pounds. Mini Nubians have an average milk production of 2 quarts daily, they make excellent home milkers. The milk is very high quality and can either be pasteurized and drank or processed into cheese or goat butter.
They are excellent 4H projects and pets too.
We are taking (non refundable) deposits for the 2024 breeding year. Kids sell quickly and our deposit list fills up quickly thru the year, so reserve yours today. Mini's range in price from $150 and up.
Here is a Newspaper article from the Capitol Press with the first Mini (Dwarf) Nubian goats. This article was printed on June 13, 1997. Ariel Mars had the first Dwarf Nubians registered in the United States. Now she has pretty much retired from breeding her Mini Nubians. She only has about 20 left in her herd, she used to have hundreds of them. She is a very remarkable women.
